Grass-fed beef

Our family raises Angus cattle for your family's beef. While it was tempting to raise something more exotic, we were drawn to what high-quality beef the Angus produces. Their beef has better marbling for better flavor, and more tenderness. We wanted our customers to experience the caliber of quality in their homes that most only get in the most expensive steakhouses in the world.

Our cows are raised solely on green grass (and hay in the winter), fresh water, fresh air and sunshine. This is important to our customers because there are so many places that call their beef “natural”, “grass-fed”, and other terms that can be confusing. We always speak plainly: Our cows only eat grass, water and a kelp supplement so that they get iodine and trace vitamins and minerals that might be low in the soil. When they were calves, they also drank their mother’s milk.  Our cows are never given grain, because they aren’t built to digest it. We work hard to make sure their lives are calm and allow them to eat what nature built them to eat. Our pastures are planted with  grass that is nutrient-dense, and that our cows love. We have been careful to plant grass that will grow in the winter so they have some greens during a time of year when they are usually hard to come by .

Our grass-fed beef is available once a year, but we do sell out – be sure to reserve your order ahead of time.
